The IUI to N Story
Dr. Karol Chacho is a Reproductive Endocrinologist who has refused to jump onto the IVF mainstream medical wagon when it comes to the treatment of infertility.
Chacho believes that over the years, as IVF techniques became more sophisticated, the unfortunate consequence was that Advanced Reproductive Technologies (ART) took center stage, fertility specialists no longer used traditional, less invasive but often effective procedures.
A strong advocate of attempting natural regiments before moving onto IVF, Chacho, like Seidman, has discovered that a natural approach often works for patients who have already been unsuccessful with IVF. He has found this to be particularly true for the older patient, or any patient with poor ovarian reserve, because these poorer eggs fare better in the body than they do in the IVF lab.
As Dr. Chacho puts it, most patients prefer to become pregnant “the old fashioned way” where the husband develops a relationship with his wife rather than with the plastic cup, and the wife develops a relationship with her husband rather than with the ultrasound probe.
When Chacho met Seidman, he was impressed with Seidman’s deep knowledge of Ancient Chinese Medicine and its application to infertility treatments. The two men realized that combining their experience and knowledge would result in a powerful new approach, the N-IUI.
